After graduation Morija was employed as a designer in the apparel industry. The opportunity to experience the production areas of fashion and textiles gave rise to her attraction of both the sculptural and surface qualities of the fabric. Morija wanted to learn how to create and manipulate her own textiles, and in the fall of 2007 moved to Vancouver, British Columbia, to study at Capilano University in the Textile Arts program. Upon graduation of the Textiles program, Morija was fortunate to be the recipient of the Circle Craft Co-Operative Scholarship for 2009. Morija is currently designing and creating out of her home studio and is also weaving for the Silk Weaving Studio on Granville Island.
